The collaboration with the French Defense subsidiary DCI Group strengthens ADSoftware presence in the military industry, allowing the CAMO/MRO software specialist to showcase its excellence in data migration and protection.

In October 2020, ADSoftware started collaborating with DCI Defense Group, the reference operator of the French Ministry of Defense for the international transfer of French military know-how, in its deployment in Qatar to support the operations of the local Air Academy. This contract represents a major step forward for ADSoftware in both the military industry and the Middle East, growing the shares of its Defense portfolio from 8% in 2019 to 40% in 2022.

The Qatar Air Academy was established in 2011 to train airplane and helicopter pilots for the local forces. Qatar had also ordered 16 single-engine Airbus H125 helicopters, for the use of the Armed Forces Air Academy. To date, 49 trainees have been trained, including three classes of helicopter pilots and one class of aircraft pilots.

The DCI Group chose ADSoftware as a partner to support its operations and airworthiness management because of its competitive advantage in the Qatar Air Academy project.

Sharing his experience on the project, Frederick Ulrich, ADSoftware’ s Director, explained that “ADSoftware was able to meet an extremely ambitious implementation schedule thanks to its expertise in Airbus Helicopters data which has been growing over the years. It would have required only 2 months for AIRPACK to be fully operational onsite.”

The DCI group has been operating across the entire Defense and security spectrum for more than 40 years. Holding the “French Armed Forces Training” label, DCI offers tailor-made services in the fields of consulting, training, and technical assistance. With headquarters in Paris and permanent offices abroad, in particular in the Middle East with Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and in Southeast Asia, the DCI is continuing to expand internationally with innovative, high added-value services through the development of new partnerships, particularly in Asia and Latin America.

ADSoftware is a major supplier of CAMO/MRO software solutions for helicopter and fixed-wing operators across the globe with both military and civil operations. In its 23 years of existence, it has steadily increased its user base to over 70 airlines by providing a scalable and cost-efficient solution.

ADSoftware is the solution used by ATR, Sabena Aerospace, French Ministry of Interior & Defense and ENAC, among others.
