In summer 2011, Eznis Airways selected AMOS as their new MRO software package and promptly launched the implementation in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The introduction of AMOS coincides with the phasing in of two Avro RJ85 aircraft and moving into a new hangar. AMOS is considered a long-time investment that will help Eznis Airways consolidate its maintenance processes and at the same time develop its in-house maintenance capacity with the ultimate goal of performing inhouse C-checks in two years time.

“The AMOS implementation is one big step for the improvement of our airworthiness and safety. So we will be very glad to announce the AMOS project to our customers and authority,” says Chinzorig B., Training Manager / Maintenance & Engineering Division at Eznis Airways.

Due to the limited number of AMOS users at Eznis Airways, the implementation will be very lean and fast. In August and September 2011, the users completed the AMOS basic e-learning course, followed by a two week “System Awareness” session and the next step will be to conduct workshops. The current project schedule predicts AMOS will go-live in December 2011.

As the 20th AMOS Operation Service (AOS) customer, Eznis Airways has also signed up for this service which relieves them from any workload regarding AMOS server operations and database administration while relying on a proven service delivered by Swiss-AS.

Eznis Airways is a Mongolian domestic airline, with its headquarters in Ulaanbaatar. The airline was established in 2006 and the first scheduled service flight was from Ulaanbaatar to Choibalsan in December, 2006.

Now the airline operates scheduled and charter flights to 14 destinations within Mongolia as well as international scheduled service to Hailar in China’s Inner Mongolia region Ulan-Ude in Russian Federation’s Buryat Republic.

Eznis Airways has recently signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with All Nippon Airways (ANA) to establish the long term development of air transportation between the two countries.

AMOS – developed and distributed by Swiss AviationSoftware – is a comprehensive, fully-integrated software package that successfully manages the maintenance, engineering and logistics requirements of modern airlines and MRO providers by fulfilling all airworthiness standards.

Swiss-AS is a 100% subsidiary of Swiss International Air Lines Ltd., and counts more than 100 customers worldwide to its loyal customer base, including pure operators of all sizes, major low-cost, regional and flag carriers, large airline groups and MRO providers.

The fact that none of them has ever replaced AMOS by another system speaks for itself. Swiss-AS’ AMOS is the industry-leading MRO software in Europe and one of the best-selling solutions world-wide. Swiss-AS has its headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, and is also represented in Miami, FL, USA.
