FLYONE flies with IQSMS
ASQS is very pleased to accompany FLYONE Armenia in building a solid safety culture from the very beginning following that of long-standing partner and parent company FLYONE Moldova. By opting for IQSMS, the subsidiary in Armenia is establishing a systematic and automated approach to safety, compliance and risk management.
The private airline FLYONE, based in Chișinău, Moldova, was founded in 2015 and currently operates a mixed fleet of Airbus A319 and Airbus A320s. Launching its AOC in Armenia, the airline is only one of a handful of airlines to launch during a pandemic.
After receiving the National Air Operator Certificate in October 2021, FLYONE ARMENIA started regular direct operations from the capital Yerevan at Zvartnots International Airport to Lyon Saint-Exupery Airport in late December 2021.
Like its parent company in Molodova, FLYONE Armenia follows the highest safety and quality standards in operational management by implementing the three core modules – Quality Management, Reporting and Risk Management – as well as three of the enhancement modules: Document Distribution, Emergency Response Planning and Survey Module.
The entire ASQS team is pleased to continue the long-standing cooperation with FLYONE and welcomes the new subsidiary FLYONE ARMENIA.
ASQS warmly welcomes US airline launch customer: Eastern Airlines
With the opening of the third global office in Calgary in 2021, ASQS can now offer customer support in North America and seamless 24h support worldwide. In cooperation with Eastern Airlines, ASQS is more than excited to launch IQSMS on the US market.
Based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, Eastern Airlines was looking for an experienced and trustworthy partner who was able to fit their requirements as its future safety and quality management software provider. After an in-depth analysis, IQSMS was chosen to manage all safety, quality and risk related data.
Sr. Director of Safety and Security at Eastern, Doug Neufeldt, said “Eastern was looking for a system that could combine all of our safety, quality, and other data in a single platform that could help us manage and visualize our data, at a reasonable price point, with the flexibility our diverse operation needed, and IQSMS hit all of those marks”.
Originally founded in 1926, the airline was brought back to the skies initially in 2015, and is currently operating a fleet of Boeing 767-200 and 767-300 aircraft.
The airline connects the US with otherwise underserved international destinations and enables safe, non-stop service from the US to several destinations in Latin and South America. Besides their scheduled operations the company also operates on behalf of the US Department of Defence (DoD) and has more big plans for the upcoming year utilizing B777 aircraft as they begin their Eastern Air Cargo operations.
As Eastern Airlines received it’s IOSA certification in 2021, the company is joining a club of 61 IOSA certified airlines using IQSMS in their daily operations.
Besides the three core modules, the Quality, Reporting and Risk Management, including the offline applications, Eastern Airlines will also implement the FDM Risk Module as well as the Document Distribution Module. To suit the specific organisational requirements, ASQS will customize IQSMS to interface with their crew planning software “Skedflex” as well as “AMOS” for maintenance related information.
“We are excited to obtain Eastern Airlines as our launch customer in the US. I believe it will be a great cooperation between our companies since IQSMS provides a high degree of configuration options to our customers. Along with the rapid growth plans of Eastern in the next years, IQSMS will allow to continuously adjust process flows and requirements to the future needs of Eastern. On the other side we will optimize IQSMS together for the US market, for example with the integration of interface to transmit reports directly to the FAA. With Eastern Airlines joining the IQSMS family, now 61 IOSA certified airlines trust our product on a daily basis to guarantee a safe operation to their clients.”
Günther Schindl, CEO of ASQS

New Honeywell Forge Pilot Connect Mobile App Designed To Increase Flight Efficiency, Improve Crew Engagement
Airlines and flight crews will have real-time access to Honeywell Forge Flight Efficiency insights, creating new opportunities for fuel savings
PHOENIX, Feb. 15, 2022 — Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) has launched a new mobile app for pilots that is designed to improve fuel savings while increasing crew interaction throughout the flight. The new Honeywell Forge Pilot Connect app will work with Honeywell Forge Flight Efficiency to better enable flight efficiency insights and recommendations. The mobile app will be available in the app store for Honeywell Forge Flight Efficiency customers in March 2022.
Honeywell Forge Pilot Connect will provide improved situational awareness and give a clear overview of how it can boost flight efficiency. Combined with pilots’ collective flying experience, airlines will be able to seamlessly integrate fuel efficiency information into their flight briefing and debriefing process. A key advantage of the app is that airlines can customize the flight efficiency insights they share.
“The existing mobile app, formerly known as GoDirect Fuel Efficiency, allows flight efficiency managers to export dashboards from the data analytics portal to a mobile device. While this approach provides flexibility and customization, there is now an increasing need for the data insights to be presented in a more interactive manner that is aligned with the practical and immediate needs of the pilots, Additionally, our fully customizable Honeywell Forge Pilot Connect mobile app will not only include all of the features and functionalities of the existing app, but will also incorporate several new advanced enhancements to improve pilot engagement.”
Philippe Chevrier, president, Services and Connectivity, Honeywell Aerospace.
More than 3,000 aircraft rely on Honeywell Forge Flight Efficiency, an enterprise performance management solution, to improve flight efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. Key features of the platform are:
- Advanced Trajectory Analytics: Machine learning algorithms can automatically detect flight events and procedures such as automated shortcut detection, holding detection, acceleration altitude reduction and continuous descent operations, among others.

skybook gives you even more reasons to go paperless
In case you have not heard of skybook, being used be over 90 airlines across the world, then below is a brief overview and some of the new features that help airlines to go paperless.
skybook by Bytron Aviation Systems comprises of two key parts. The web-based ground portal which is used by flight dispatchers and flight operations. To create flight briefings, monitor their flights, analyse flight data, manage documents and so much more.
Secondly the leading-edge electronic flight bag application which is used by airline pilots to view and approve an interactive briefing and input vital flight information, which can then be analysed post flight, to help improve airline performance.
Paperless forms with Form Builder
Do you have multiple staff across departments creating different forms in various programs; leading to forms in different locations, being printed off and making it difficult to keep an audit trail?
Time to introduce you to the skybook Form Builder.
Form Builder allows operators to create custom interactive forms. These digital forms can be managed in one place for auditing control and shared to other departments or to the EFB app for First Officers and Pilots to complete.
Creating an operational form is as easy as drag and drop and it removes the need for any external support as it is exceptionally user friendly. Once happy with the form after previewing it; you can then simply share it to anyone.
Of course, the option is always still there to print a version off, should you ever need to…
Digital Document Management Library
Our Document Management Library really is a game changer for any airlines looking for efficiency.
Simply put, it is digital central library to store and distribute aircraft manuals, operational documents and more. Giving pilots easy access to documents via the electronic flight bag, as well as dispatchers and operational staff via the web-based Ground Portal.
All documents are managed and updated within a simple folder structure. This means pilots have access to the most up-to-date aircraft documents they need for each flight.
EFB users also can annotate, highlight and make notes on documents that have been downloaded.
These annotations are visible to other team members, so they are aware of any vital information that is highlighted.
