Shortly after the spin-off from the Polish national carrier, LOTAMS started the implementation of AMOS as an initiative to modernise its maintenance IT landscape.

Smooth “big bang” approach
One characteristic of the project was the tight completion deadline linked to the simultaneous and extensive restructuring process within LOTAMS.
The project successfully culminated in a go-live via the “big bang” approach, meaning that all AMOS modules were simultaneously put into operation and from that moment onwards, all activities were controlled by AMOS. The technical staff made immediate use of their acquired AMOS knowledge when the first aircraft completely managed in AMOS arrived from Australia at the LOTAMS premises in Warsaw on the same day as the go-live.

Rusada signs its first contract in mainland China with CGAMEC

Rusada Software and Airbus Helicopters are pleased to announce that CGAMEC will utilise the Envision MRO solution for their business operations. This marks Rusada’s first contract of what we hope to be many more in mainland China.

New digital airline maintenance records tool increases operational efficiency

Interjet chooses AerData EFPAC Engine Management System

Romaero S.A. chooses OASES MRO system from Commsoft for its base MRO activities

Romanian aerospace company, Romaero S.A. (Romaero) has chosen OASES, the leading MRO IT system from engineering and maintenance systems expert, Commsoft, to control its base maintenance activities. The system will enable Romaero to support third-party airlines and commercial operators from its location near Bucharest Baneasa Airport in Romania.

Romaero has signed a 40 concurrent users, five-year contract with Commsoft, with implementation scheduled to start straight away. The contract covers five modules: Core, Production, Materials, Commercial and Warranty. An agreement is also in place to make additional modules available at a later date to help Romaero develop its business activities further. These additional modules include Line Maintenance, Continuing Airworthiness and Planning.

Australian aerospace engineering firm TAE selects IFS Applications 9 for integrated ERP

Replacing two enterprise resource planning systems and a financial package to integrate TAE group of companies under a single IFS solution for real-time business visibility

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that TAE, Australasia’s number one provider of turbine engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services, is implementing IFS Applications™ 9 to integrate the TAE group of companies under a single enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution after a management buy-out from Air New Zealand earlier this year.
 
TAE had previously purchased IFS Applications as an engineering management solution to comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). It had a different ERP system at its Brisbane facility and another ERP system and financial package in Adelaide. Replacing them with IFS Applications will improve business visibility with real-time reporting to support growth and reduce costs.
After evaluating existing software suppliers and potential new solutions, TAE selected IFS Applications because it best met the company’s requirements in a single integrated solution. IFS’s proven implementation capability was also a major factor as TAE had only 12 months to replace the ERP system it shared with Air New Zealand.

“The functionality was key—IFS is in our market and knew what we needed at a maintenance level,” said Andrew Sanderson, CEO of TAE. “We spoke with other users—some of them are our customers—and IFS had the reliability and the credibility we were looking for. “IFS Applications will give us ready visibility of our supply chain, for example,” said Sanderson. “That will help our vendor management, putting us in a position to negotiate deals based on volume without having to glue together information from different systems.”

IFS Applications will also support TAE’s growth as it looks to develop its business in South East Asia and the U.S. with better customer communication and coordination of activities across different locations.

TAE will initially implement IFS Applications for financials, human resources, maintenance, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales & service. Later, it will deploy IFS project management capabilities within the integrated ERP solution. TAE also plans to use IFS Applications to underpin new mobile apps to streamline operations, potentially enabling customers to see and approve work orders, for example.
