Fuel Efficiency Foundations Course
WHY ATTEND?
This two-day training course will provide you with a comprehensive overview of fuel efficiency. It is conducted by aviation and fuel efficiency experts with extensive theoretical and hands-on experience in airline operations and managing a fuel efficiency program.

WHO IS LEADING IT?
Captain Frank Lumnitzer, Lead Instructor
Frank is a training captain on B757/B767 and member of senior trainer group and pilot selection committee. From 2007 onwards he was responsible for flight standards within Condor Airlines and assigned member of Lufthansa Flight Standards Working Group. In 2009 he was appointed as fuel manager and is nowadays a direct report to the executive board responsible for all fuel-, environmental- and air traffic management issues. Frank is holding appointments as co-chairman of the Airbus FAIR working group and member of RNP Implementation Support Team at EUROCONTROL, the National PBN Implementation Support Team Germany, the Expert Group for Active Noise Abatement, and the ICAO PBN Task Force and ICAO PBN GO Team.
Iliya Maksimov, Principal Instructor

Iliya started in Aviation while still in University by joining a local Aviation publication as a reporter. After his graduation with a Master's degree in Aviation engineering, he embarked on a teaching career at Sofia Aviation College. Hundreds of future pilots were trained by Iliya over the course of the next three years. When an opportunity came to join an aviation company as a 737 pilot, he jumped at the chance. In the next two years, Iliya flew all over Europe for DHL. In 2015, Iliya joined Honeywell Aviaso to help airlines with their fuel efficiency programs. He started by integrating Aviaso/Fuel Efficiency with Etihad Airways and Jet Airways. He is currently leading the integration with Turkish Airlines to support their fuel efficiency efforts.
