Maintenix to Support Myanmar National Airlines’ Expanding ATR Fleet

System to manage fleet configuration, maintenance planning, execution, and materials support

2015 MRO ASIA – Singapore, Booth 641 (November 3, 2015) – Mxi® Technologies, the leader in aviation maintenance management software, announced today that Myanmar National Airlines (MNA), in collaboration with ATR, has selected the Maintenix® system to deliver comprehensive maintenance management support for its expanding fleet of ATR aircraft.

One of the oldest and most experienced airlines in Asia, Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) has set its sights on growing its presence both domestically and abroad. In addition to doubling its ATR fleet, the airline is setting up a modern maintenance repair center in Yangon.

Meeting these objectives required an IT solution that could deliver standardized processes across the maintenance management chain. With Maintenix, MNA will be able to capitalize on automated, mobile-ready functionality supporting all fleet configuration management, planning, execution and materials functions, enabling greater day-of-operations control, optimized parts demand and fulfillment, and stronger regulatory compliance.

“Upgrading our fleet, and the critical maintenance management practices that support it, reflects our commitment to offering world-class standards of safety, comfort and punctuality to our passengers,” says Captain Than Tun, Chief Executive Officer of Myanmar National Airlines. “A modern fleet supported by advanced operational IT systems and processes gives Myanmar National Airlines the opportunity to change the way we serve our country.”

This latest deal reflects the Maintenix system’s continued expansion among worldwide operators and independent MROs of all sizes. In the past year alone, Mxi has secured relationships with the likes of Southwest Airlines, Mesa Airlines, Cape Air, and HAECO, among others.

“Myanmar National Airlines joins a growing international community of aviation organizations committed to improving efficiencies and driving greater value from their maintenance practices through the adoption of progressive MRO IT,” says Bill Cavitt, President and CEO at Mxi Technologies. “We look forward to working with Myanmar National Airlines and their partners as they redefine the standard for customer service excellence.”
